This week was a very special week. In addition to going on field trips to Nivens Apple Farm, we also did experiments with apples and pumpkins. We even ended our week with a special, yummy snack!
We joined Mrs. Cureton's class to do observations on the similarities and differences between apples and pumpkins.
We noted their color, size and smell.
We then did a little experiment to see if apples and pumpkins would float or sink when placed in water. Each student made a prediction and then noted what they observed.
We were surprised to find out that they both actually floated!
Then on Friday we made some yummy apple pies!
We had such a fun week full of hands-on learning and lots memorable experiences!
