On Tuesday, December 15th, our class celebrated the holiday season by reenacting the book, The Polar Express. Everyone came to school in their pajamas. A train conductor came to our room. He blew his train whistle, and called "All aboard!". We followed him to a pretend train car, where he read The Polar Express to us. When he was finished reading the book, we sang "Santa Claus is coming to town" and then Santa appeared!! He gave each child their own sleigh bell and a candy cane. We then went to the cafeteria for warm cookies and hot chocolate. It was a fun and magical day that our students will be talking about for a long time!

These pictures are great! I was so happy to go and be a part of this special time. The children seemed were so excited when the conductor blew his whistle and especially when they got to see Santa!
